We raise purebred, heritage pigs. We love them. They provide us with the highest quality lard and delicious pork, laughter, and fun.
They are hand raised and fed a ration of whole grains, raw Jersey milk, and a variety of minerals and vitamins. They are also always provided with an abundance of fresh, clean drinking water. While they enjoy relaxing in the comfort of their clean, dry pens, they also love digging and rooting about, while free-ranging in our pastures. They are very friendly, docile pigs and have the sweetest natures.
We raise our pigs 100% naturally. No growth hormones. No antibiotics. No vaccinations.
Just the way food should be.

**** Purebred, registered meat pigs
Duroc pigs make excellent pork. We raise them specifically as our meat pigs. Though they were first developed in the United States in the 1850s, there are only a handful of purebred, registered Durocs in the state of Alaska today. We are proud to have become one of those breeders. They are a large, red colored, muscular bodied pig with delicious meat that has excellent marbling. They are prized for their quick muscle growth and hardiness. They are also one of the most docile and friendly of pig breeds.
Our Duroc pigs are beautiful purebred, registered pigs that come from an amazing rancher in the lower 48 who raises the highest quality Duroc show pigs in the midwest. It was a large investment of time and money for us to ship them to Alaska and establish our herd. We feel having fresh, pure blood lines (with top of the line genetics) in the State of Alaska is important.

****Rare - a specialty heritage pig sought after for its lard and succulent red-marbled meat
These are quite simply, our favorite pig! Mangalitsas are a rare heritage pig that originated in Hungary. They are treasured the world over for their abundant snow-white lard and delicious, unique, savory pork meat. Though they grow out slower and produce less meat than commercial meat pigs, the meat they do yield is almost like eating beef, but better - if you can believe it! It is red and highly marbled, so it melts like butter in your mouth. BBQ connoisseurs and charcuterie specialists pay high dollar for Mangalitsa pork when they find it! There is no other word for it but DELICIOUS!! Mangalitsas are a curly, wooly pig that almost resembles a sheep. This coat helps keep them warm and hardy in our Alaskan winters. They are extremely docile and friendly pigs, perfect for the kids to raise for 4-H or take care of. Once you have a mangalitsa, you will fall in love with them as a family pig. We use their lard in our bakery products, they make the most delicious pie crusts and buttermilk biscuits! Last fall we processed a male that provided over 24 pints of beautiful, pure lard! Like our Duroc herd, our Mangalitsa pigs are also purebred and come from a reputable, high quality breeder in the lower 48. It was a large investment of time and money for us to ship them to Alaska and establish our herd. We have just started establishing this herd, so we do not anticipate availability of piglets until sometime in 2023.
